An independent internet station for artists who make their own music, run by volunteers, funded by listeners.

What this is

Vikentis Radio is a 24/7 internet radio station playing independent artists. There is no label behind it, no advertising inside it, and no subscription in front of it. The music is free to hear, and the artists are never charged to be played.

The station exists for one reason: a song made in a bedroom deserves the same chance to be heard as a song with a marketing budget. We built a place where that is true, and we keep it running.

How it is run

A small volunteer crew produces the shows, listens to every submission, and keeps the servers alive. Nobody is paid. Not the hosts, not the founders, not the person answering messages at midnight.

Running a station costs money every month — streaming bandwidth, servers, software, storage and the hours spent listening to tracks. Those costs are covered by the people who run it and by listeners who decide it is worth something. That is the entire business model.

What we play, and what we refuse

Independent artists only. No label deals, no play-for-pay, no playlist slots bought and sold.
Every submission is listened to by a human before it goes anywhere near the air.
No advertising. The music is never interrupted.
AI use is declared. Every artist tells us how much of a track was machine-made, and we say so plainly.
Free to submit. No account, no fee, no credits — one MP3, one honest listen.

For artists

Send one MP3 through the submission form. It is free, no account is needed, and a person will listen to it. If it fits the programming, it goes on air and you will be told. There is no queue to buy your way to the front of.

For stations and partners

We are open to working with other independent stations: show swaps, cross-promotion, and carrying each other's programming. If you run a station with the same rule — independent artists only, nobody pays to be played — write to us and we will find something that helps both audiences.

Audience figures We publish no inflated numbers. Current listening data — simultaneous listeners, listening hours and monthly sessions — is available to partners, sponsors and journalists on request.
